PROGRAMS

A **FREE** weekly class, held year-round, and led by Inwood parents and caregivers for children under 5. We take turns leading the sessions, as our kids play, explore, discover, and grow. We gather every Friday from 10 to 11. The continual flow of dedicated volunteers allows POTP to remain a totally FREE program. Volunteers to lead the sessions (simple preschool crafts) are very much needed! Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact Lauren Wright, wright.lauren@gmail.com

This bi-weekly hands-on class for children, aged 5 to 12, focuses on the joys of planting, drawing, naming, identifying and observation with an introduction to pruning, propagation and topography in an effort to develop and/or establish a horticultural awareness and an appreciation of the garden’s ecosystem. For more info contact Chrissy Berlane at cberlane@gmail.com or Rachel Figueroa-Levin at rfiglev@me.com.

These rotational Summer Internships will assist in the education of arboriculture, nursery and plant records management, landscaping techniques and display design. This outreach is an effort to reestablish older relations between these extension programs and Bruce’s Garden.

These rotational Summer Internships will assist in the education of arboriculture, nursery and plant records management, landscaping techniques and display design. This outreach is an effort to reestablish older relations between these extension programs and Bruce’s Garden.

These workshops, hosted by Peace Arnold, focus on the medicinal and delectable aspects of certain plants which naturally grow in the garden and our vicinity. Identification and usefulness will be explored. The culmination of the program will involve a gracious pesto, pasta and salad event augmented with fruit, select cheeses and beverages.

Classes and workshops are a mixture of all forms of art: music, song, dance/ creative movement, journaling, craft making, artistic improv and drama games for the development of creative theatric and storytelling skills to be used in creating new characters and fun original plays. The mission is to educate and expose children and teens to the performing arts and provide an outlet for confident expression and collaborative creation.
